11.18
In the quiet, in the stillness
I know that You are God
In the secret of Your presence
I know there I am restored
When You call I won’t refuse
Each new day again I’ll choose
There is no one else for me
None but Jesus
Crucified to set me free
Now I live to bring Him praise
In the chaos, in confusion
I know You’re Sovereign still
In the moment of my weakness
You give me grace to do Your will
When You call I won’t delay
This my song through all my days
All my delight is in You Lord
All of my hope, all of my strength
All my delight is in You Lord Forevermore

I’ll be at the Starbucks in Cedar Hill on 1382 from 1-2:30 today. If you’d like to join me come on by.
Romans 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
Elect: chosen: an exclusive group of people; “one of the elect who have power inside the government”.
Isaiah 45:4 For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
Elect as we see above means to be added to a group, separated from another group. As it concerns believers we are separated from the world unto God. We belong exclusively to him. Another thing to note about election is the person elected does not put themselves into place; someone else does. So it is with us. We are put in this place of exclusivity by the Lord. This place is not a place of bragging or of pride or being puffed up. It is a place of service, a place of purpose. We are elected to a place.
Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
1Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
You will note that our election is not according to any works we may have done or can do. Unlike politicians who campaign, we are put into place according to the workings of the father. The father does all all the work of making us who we are.
1Cor 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
There is nothing that we can do to put ourselves in position or make ourselves children of God. Our election is completely due to the work of the Lord. We are the elect of God because He has put us in place.
You’re My Beloved
You’re My Bride
To sing over you is My delight
Come away with Me My love
You’re Beautiful to Me
So beautiful to Me
Under My mercy
Come and wait
Till we are standing face to face
I see no stain on you
My child
You’re Beautiful to Me
So Beautiful to Me
I sing over you My song of peace
Cast all your care down at My feet
Come and find your rest in Me
I’ll breathe My life inside of you
I’ll bear you up on eagle’s wings
And hide you in the shadow of My strength
I’ll take you to My quiet waters
I’ll restore your soul
Come rest in Me and be made whole
You’re My beloved
You’re My Bride
To sing over you is my delight
Come away with me my love
Kari Jobe
I lift my eyes,
Up to the sky,
And in my mind,
I wonder why?
Why would One,
So mighty and great,
Care for me?
Or for my fate?
Then I hear a gentle voice,
Speak to me with loud a noise,
“Come My child, why do you think”,
“That I’m too big to notice thee?”
I say my God I do not think,
That You’re too big to notice me!
Its just so often that I feel,
How could Your love for me be real?
When for so long Ive been afraid,
Afraid to trust Your care for me.
I cant help but think that You,
Like all others will leave me too!?
“Oh my son, do not fear!”
I hear Him say as He draws near
“My love for you will never die,
And I forever will be by thy side.”
Oh my Saviour,
Oh my King,
I will give Thee everything!
All I have and all I am,
Is for the leading of Thy hand.
Take this life,
Tis’ not my own,
And with my heart
Make Thee a home.
Till all I am and all I’ll be,
Can be used for Thy glory!
As the voice begins to fade,
I faintly hear Him in a whisper say,
“Go now my child, and do not think,
That I care nothing of thy fate.”
“For in thee a purpose lies,
That I have given thee before time,
And I that purpose through thee will fulfill,
Because my love for thee is real.”
But Oh my God,
Oh why me?
What is it in me You see?
I will give you everything,
But Im so unworthy to serve a King!
I did not hear the voice reply,
As my eyes gazed upon the sky.
And the simple question, “Why,oh why?”,
Still has no answer to this night.
But in my heart I know its true,
That He loves me, and He loves You!
And though question still remains,
I know my purpose here is plain.

John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
